This piece is about the joy, power, and beauty that is found in the little parts of life. Or in this case the little parts of nature. This scene is portaited larger then life both to bring the audience in as a part of this small world but also to work as an escape from the current political and social climate. It is a five and a half foot tall scalpture made of materials like cardboard, paper, metal wire, acrylic and spray paint that are placed together to express a vibrant array of life. The composition consist of three main butterflies and moths surrounded by flowers of different shapes, kinds, and sizes along with a honeybee among the plants. Which all come together to create this piece “In full bloom”. What I hope people takeaway from my artwork is the importance of finding the beauty even in the smallest parts of life.
